FITAG Parallel activities 2024

Wednesday 28, August

Body expression

ERAM training

Casa de Cultura de Girona
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The seminar is aimed at people interested in dance, circus or physical theatre. The trainer will be Melina Pereyra, lecturer at the Escola Universitària de les Arts (ERAM).

During practice, the trainer has found many techniques capable of capturing their attention because of the importance they give to the performer’s bond with their sensations.

It proposes freeing the body from a certain linearity arising from the logical reasons justifying its movements. It appeals to the fact that the concept does not win the sensation, that the body perceives its own poetics.

It will provide tools for accessing the physico-perceptual dynamics that happen here and now, and for expressing them, putting aside univocal discourses and generating pregnancy (‘tendency of one perceptual structure to prevail over another’) in the flesh and eyes of those who execute them and watch them.

Content:
– Work on presence and awareness
– Directions, dynamics and states
– Physical and textual qualities
– Association of qualities with characters
