Una carretera sense arbres (‘A road without trees’)

Isabel and Gerard are traveling by car to the house of their daughter, Clara, who has decided to move to a coastal town in the País Valencià. It’s a September morning and it’s unbearably hot. To make matters worse, their car stopped in the middle of a dirt road. All around, there are only rice fields, golden, ready to be harvested.

Una carretera sense arbres is the story of two drama teachers from one of the most prestigious acting schools in the country. Both are important figures of the contemporary scene and, as references, have been and are still greatly admired. This week, however, they experienced some events that will change their lives forever. All their problems will inevitably end up coming to light on this road surrounded by rice paddies, where they are now waiting for… the crane.

Lluna Plena Teatre is a Valencian theater company that was born in Sueca in 1981. He founded the Mostra Internacional de Mim (‘International Mime Show’) in 1989, and managed, coordinated and co-produced this festival until 2021. Apart from this, the company has also staged several productions of very different theatrical languages: from text theater works to street theater shows.
